The lyrics have a melodramatic and somewhat tragic flair this time around, but this is prog so you should be accustomed to the musical ride including a few tragic tales from time to time by now, right? So, it made sense for us all to come together in London.

On "King for a Day", I now hear a band which has found "its own voice", one that resonates confidently in the space somewhere between classic arena rock of yesteryear on prog-steroids of course and modern melodic prog of the 21st Century like Spock's Beard and The Flower Kings.

But equally, there are also times where the musicians open up their wings and take flight, just like the central character in the song. Ssus of the material this time is very bright and melodically appealing, while on the other hand there's also a lot of dark tracks as well. However, Daniel will spinwttalandia be able to join us for touring now, as he has commitments with main band Pain Of Salvation.

This is arguably the most immediate track on the album but in true Big Big Train fashion, it ebbs and flows throughout its substantial 12 minute life creating a sense of drama upon which they tell the powerful story of a World War One pilot named Captain Albert Ball who gave his life for his country.
